A Special Purpose Inspection / Defect Inspection is customised to suit the client’s requirements. It includes a more detailed investigation of a major building defect. We can tailor the inspection and report to your particular requirements. The report can include a ‘Technical report’ which includes matters of building compliance and may include reference to the relevant Australian Building Codes or Australian Standards. The report will seek to outline the likely cause/s, the general implications and best way/s to remedy the defect or situation. Our inspectors may make recommendations for further investigation or to seek advice from other experts or contractors. In reality, our reports are enough to help inform your next decision. 

1. Our reports are designed to provide as much information as possible. Detailed report findings with cause and remedy advice. 
2. They can form a ‘point of departure’ for rectification, repair or for further professional investigation (such as a structural engineer’s report).
